Connecting to your Sisyphus

    Download the Sisyphus App from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Can’t download the app? Skip to “Connecting to you Sisyphus via Browser” at the bottom of the page.

    • If your Sisyphus has already been set up, connect your phone/tablet to the wifi network your Sisyphus is connected to, then open the Sisyphus app to automatically connect.

    Automatic Setup (Recommended):

    Before connecting to your Sisyphus, plug it in and wait for the entire bootup sequence to run (1-2 minutes)  

    1. Connect your phone/tablet to your home Wifi network
    2. Open the Sisyphus App and accept the wireless/bluetooth permissions when prompted
    3. The app will walk you through the necessary steps to set up your Sisyphus and connect it to your home Wifi network.

     

    If the app is unable to connect you to your Sisyphus, proceed to the manual setup section below

     

    Manual Setup:

    1. Open the Wifi settings on your phone or tablet and connect to the Wifi hotspot “Sisyphus”
      1. This hotspot will not have internet connection. Some devices may prompt you to confirm you would like to stay connected.
    2. Open the Sisyhpus App. Once the app connects to your Sisyphus, follow the on screen instructions for completing setup
    3. Once you connect your Sisyphus to your home wifi network, the “Sisyphus” hotspot will disappear. If it doesn’t automatically, connect your phone/tablet to your home network and relaunch the Sisyphus app

     

    Connecting via Browser:

    1. Open the Wifi settings on your computer and connect to the Wifi hotspot “Sisyphus”
      1. This hotspot will not have internet connection. Some devices may prompt you to confirm you would like to stay connected.
    2. Open a browser and enter the URL: sisyphus.local/
      1. If the URL above does not work, use 192.168.42.1/
    3. From here you can set up your Sisyphus and connect it to your home wifi. 
      1. If you change the name of your Sisyphus, make sure to write it down to reference later
    4. Once you connect your Sisyphus to your home Wi-Fi network, the “Sisyphus” hotspot will disappear. If it doesn’t automatically, connect your computer to your home network and enter the URL: sisyphus.local/ or (if you changed your Sisyphus name) [Sisyphus name].local/
      1. If the URL above doesn’t work, use the table's IP address. This can be found by logging into your router's admin screen and checking the client list.
