It may become necessary to re-image your SD card if your Sisyphus ceases normal function. The quickest way to fix this is to follow the procedure below to get a fresh version of the Sisyphus operating system installed.
- First, unplug your Sisyphus and remove the micro SD from your Sisyphus.
- Download the image. Contact customer support for the latest image.
- If your Sisyphus shipped in the first half of 2019 or earlier it likely has an 8GB micro SD. If you want to use this image you will need to purchase 16GB class 10 or better. Larger capacity cards are acceptable but this image will only have 16GB available for storage.
- Right-click on the ZIP file you just downloaded and select "Extract All".
- If you're using a Mac please download The Unarchiver as the included archive utility may not work.
- When prompted to select a destination, you may leave the default. This will create a new folder containing your IMG file.
- Download the imaging utility: balenaEtcher
- Load the micro SD into the computer you'll be using to image it.
- Open balenaEtcher
- Select the Image. Select the un-compressed image file we downloaded. It's the one that ends in ".img"
- Select the target. Select your SD card. If it is not already selected, choose the micro SD
- Flash! Under step 3 select Flash!
- Once the flash is complete, re-install the micro SD into your Sisyphus and then plug it in.
- Note - this image will prompt you to select your Sisyphus type on startup. The Sisyphus will not move until you connect to it and set this. See Connecting to your Sisyphus.
